Soi Romanee Phuket Town
While this isn’t a specific bar or club, it’s a charismatic and charming street with small bars from end to end. Reminiscent of smaller European streets, it’s comprised of cobblestones at your feet and a wide open sky above. While most roads in Thailand have power lines running on either side, this is a power line-free lane, which really makes a difference. On many nights, you can find live music – sometimes planned, sometimes spontaneous – and people dancing freely. Most bars offer outdoor seating where you can sit and admire the surroundings. Often times, there are music festivals that take place here (Jazz festival being most popular). This is a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere where locals and tourists can sit together and drink. A truly distinctive spot that makes you forget you’re even in Thailand.
